Topological Phases, Anyons, and Quantum Computation
A short lecture series by Alexei Kitaev
Abstract: I will describe a few exactly solvable models that give rise to
topological phases. The universality class of a two-dimensional
topological phase is characterized by a set of braiding and fusion rules
and a "chiral central charge". The connection to quantum computation will
also be discussed.
