The 7 Pines meeting this year is the second of 2 meetings devoted to on
the history of Quantum Mechanics - the first one one was in 2013, and can be found at

http://pitp.physics.ubc.ca/confs/7pines2013/

The meeting focused mostly on the history of quantum mechanics subsequent
to 1950. There is some overlap with the first meeting. Considerable
attention was given to the development of quantum field theory, both in
its detailed history, and in the evolution of some of the key conceptual
ideas (notably non-perturbative developments such as path integral and
other functional methods). Another important theme was the development of
gauge theory, beginning with QED and going on to more sophisticated
theories. Other topics included the Aharonov-Bohm effect and the various
interpretations of quantum mechanics. Finally, a look was taken at the
future development of quantum mechanics, with talks which focused on the
clash between quantum mechanics and general relativity, both experimental
and theoretical.
