The meeting will be held in Galiano Island, British Columbia at Bodega Ridge. ( 120 Manastee Road, Galiano Island, BC, Canada).

Galiano is accessible from Vancouver either by ferry, using BC Ferries or by seaplane from either downtown Vancouver or Vancouver airport: http://www.seairseaplanes.com/schedule-galiano-island-richmond-yvr, http://www.saltspringair.com/. The ferry terminal at Tsawwassen is roughly 30-40 mins drive from the airport, and the ferry crossing takes 50 mins. You need to be at the ferry
terminal 40 mins before the ferry leaves. Cars can be rented on the
mainland, eg., at the airport, and then taken over on the ferry with you. However cars cannot be rented on the island. If you do not wish to rent a car the best option is probably to get a seaplane directly from Vancouver airport (although buses do go from the airport to the ferry terminal). Anyone arriving in Galiano island by seaplane will be picked up at Montague harbour, where the seaplanes land, and transported directly to the meeting site at Madrona lodge.

Galiano island is some 40 km south of Vancouver - it is one of the
"Gulf islands", noted for their climate and vegetation, as well as
their beauty. Along with conifers, Galiano is populated by species
such as the Arbutus (or 'madrona') and Garry Oak, which normally
require dry and sunny climates (parts of Galiano enjoy more hours of
sun per annum than Hawaii). Most of the island is fairly wild, but
there are no dangerous animals. There is an extraordinary population
of over a hundred different bird species, as well as a large variety
of marine life.

Good overviews of what is available on Galiano can be found at http://www.hellobc.com/galiano-island.aspx, http://www.galianoisland.com/ as well as standard sites such as Wikipedia. The Bodega ridge lodge is at the northwestern end of the island. Transport will be organized to and from the ferry or the seaplane terminal, for those coming without a car. Accommodation in
self-contained apartments will be available for 30 people. The lodge
itself has a restaurant and bar as well as a conference room with
standard facilities. Beautiful hikes (such as the Bodega ridge trail) are very close by.

It is important that you register on the conference website - all bookings at Bodega Ridge will be handled through the Pacific Institute of Theoretical Physics.
